Question!
I’ve been thinking lately about setting up some sort of database of people around the country (world?) that are open to having bands crash at their house/apartment/space/etc…I’m kind of surprised I’ve never heard of this, but has anyone else? Basic idea is, if you’re open to letting some strangers sleep in your living room, you provide your e-mail and/or phone number or facebook page or whatever. People could make their profile including the following:
-name and location (including nearby venues)
-contact info
-sleeping situation
-for people who have a consistent work/school/etc. schedule, what time would the people need to plan on being out the next day
-any extra criteria (pets, crazy neighbors, etc.)
-perks: pool/hot tub, good food, showers, nearby skateparks, etc…
I’ve seen something similar for people making cross-country rides and things like that and always wondered why I never saw it for people in smaller touring bands. Any input would be cool, I’d like to have this figured out by summer. If you know people in bands, running labels, or that would just be interested, give them my e-mail for phone number:
